What makes Gladys' Okeechobee's oldest diner.
Age alone does not keep a diner alive. A place lasts when people still have a reason to come back.

A landmark carried forward
Gladys' has been part of Okeechobee since 1951. That history matters because it gives the restaurant a role larger than a meal: a meeting place, a regular booth, a familiar stop, and a small-town reminder that hospitality still matters.
The Russells see the restaurant as stewardship. Their job is not to turn Gladys' into something unrecognizable. It is to serve the people in front of them well and keep the landmark useful for the next generation.
